Got some carcinogenic industry you want to PinkWash ? Pay Susan G. Komen to do it for you. No medical exam required if the check is big enough. Even Susan G. Komen’s own website shares the chemicals from fracking that are linked to breast cancer, but it didn’t stop them from partnering with oil and gas giant Baker Hughes, which donated $100,000 to Komen in October for the “Doing Our Bit for the Cure” campaign where 1,000 fracking drill bits were painted pink. The viral post on EcoWatch, written by breast cancer survivor and fracking activist Sandra Steingraber, exposed the hypocrisy of this campaign. This Sunday at the Steelers Game Stand up against the Pinkwashing of Fracking at a rally outside the Steelers game this Sunday! “I’m from Pittsburgh so I grew up loving Western Pennsylvania’s rivers and woods and of course the Pittsburgh Steelers. Finding out the Steelers were participating in the pinkwashing of fracking, a process that threatens the health of Western Pennsylvania’s citizens and environment, felt like a kick in the gut.
