Christine Moore and her family had an dream. They worked hard to make it a reality. In Ohio's Amish Country they bought property and began a horse rescue. Then came the gas leases, and the traffic, and the noise and the fracking. Prior to the fracking starting near her property, she had her water tested to establish a baseline. On Wednesday, July 31, 2012, I logged into facebook and began skimming through posts, checking out article links and catching up on messages. The lovely picture of petunias with a butterfly caught my eye. I could almost smell the flowers. On June 28, 2012 the Pennsylvania Environmental Council honored former Gov. Tom Ridge with its Lifetime Achievement Award. Ridge’s acceptance speech is entitled “Turning US versus THEM, into WE, As Leaders In Sustainability”.
