Trump, Azerbaijan, and Iran’s Revolutionary Guard

March 7, 2017 By Richard Averett Leave a Comment

Another Trump business venture that makes no sense at first glance... Donald Trump’s Worst Deal The President helped build a hotel in Azerbaijan that appears to be a corrupt operation engineered by oligarchs tied to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.     The Trump Tower Baku never opened. Trump partnered with an Azerbaijani family that U.S. officials called notoriously unethical.Photograph by Davide Monteleone for The New Yorker Heydar Aliyev Prospekti, a broad avenue in Baku, … [Read more...] about Trump, Azerbaijan, and Iran’s Revolutionary Guard

Netanyahu Shills for Sanctions on Iranian Gas

March 3, 2015 By Chip Northrup Leave a Comment

Spoiler alert: The sanctions against Iran prevent it from exporting its massive resources of (conventional, unfracked) gas via a proposed pipeline in Syria. Guess who in the US might be against lifting those sanctions. Give up ? (Hint: rhymes with 'crackers') The Texas delegation turned out in force for Netanyahu's sales pitch for the gas sanctions. Ben Netanyahu has been lying about Iran's nuclear capability for over 20 years. It's a sure-fire way to get re-elected in Israel. They … [Read more...] about Netanyahu Shills for Sanctions on Iranian Gas

Russia Enters Syrian Gas Pipeline War On Side of . . . Russia !

September 27, 2015 By Chip Northrup 2 Comments

Who fracking else ? And they immediately sign a cooperative agreement with Syria, Iran and Iraq over something they can all agree on: gas pipelines. And the popular press still reports the Syrian Gas Pipeline War as if it were about "rival religious factions" and, lately, some dinky Soviet era airbase, or Russian support of Assad. No, it is about controlling whether, when and where the competing Iranian or Arabian pipelines get built through what's left of Syria - which is nominally still a … [Read more...] about Russia Enters Syrian Gas Pipeline War On Side of . . . Iran Gets Their Gas Pipeline(s) ?

September 20, 2013 By Chip Northrup 3 Comments

After Assad agreed to stop gassing the Syrian rebels. New diplomatic initiatives to end the conflict and eliminate the trade restrictions on Iran equate to one thing - the Iranian/Iraq/Syria gas line is going through. You heard it hear last - because that's what this conflict was all about - who gets the gas pipeline through Syria. http://www.nofrackingway.us/2013/09/07/gas-pipeline-war-in-syria/ Lifting trade sanctions will also enable Iran to export gas thru Pakistan to China. Update October 2015 - Russia enters Syrian Gas Pipeline War on side of Russia ! What a surprise ! They immediately bomb the US and Saudi proxies that are fighting for the Arabian gas pipeline route, against the Iranian proxies who are fighting for the Iranian gas pipeline route in Pipelinestan. Leaving the US in tacit support of Saudi Arabia's most effective Sunni proxies, the Sunni Caliphate. Surprise. unHoly Oil Crusade: US Allies Enter 3rd Mideast Oil War

September 22, 2014 By Chip Northrup 1 Comment

Gulf I was for the Kuwaiti oil fields. Gulf II was for the Iraqi oil fields. Gulf III is for the Iraqi oil fields (again) and for the gas pipeline concession through Syria. That's right. This particular unHoly Crusades is for gas pipelines - as well as oil. Surprise. All that stands in their way is a 7th Century Apocalyptic Death Cult. The US and its allies (France, the UAE, Saudi, etc.) are entering the gas pipeline war in Syria Pipelinistan on the side of the loyal Sunni partisans that … [Read more...] about unHoly Oil Crusade: US Allies Enter 3rd Mideast Oil War

Iran Agrees to Nuclear Non Proliferation Deal

April 2, 2015 By Chip Northrup 2 Comments

Bravo. Long term, nuclear energy is a better alternative than fossil fuels. Fracking creates more HAZMAT TENORM nuclear waste in a week than the US nuclear power industry does in a year. Fracked gas kills more people in a week than the US nuclear power industry has in its entire history. Nuclear power is safer than fracking. Nuclear power emits no global warming gases. And what of the Iranians ? The 911 bombers were not Iranians. There are no Iranians in ISIS. Or the Taliban. Or Al … [Read more...] about Iran Agrees to Nuclear Non Proliferation Deal

Iran, Turkey and Russia Meet to Control Syria’s Gas Pipelines

December 21, 2016 By Chip Northrup Leave a Comment

The reason why Iran is at the peace talks is because it's their gas. The reason why Turkey is a the table is because the pipeline will go through them to Europe The Russia hosted the meeting because they want to maintain their hegemony on gas to Europe. The reason why the Arabs aren't there is they tried to overthrow Assad via their Sunni proxies when he granted the pipeline concession to Iran. And that intervention sort of backfired. Anybody in the oil business understands this. … [Read more...] about Iran, Turkey and Russia Meet to Control Syria’s Gas Pipelines

Is Natural Gas More Valuable Than Oil?

July 8, 2017 By Richard Averett Leave a Comment

Natural gas is replacing oil, as it did coal, as the fossil fuel of choice...so we can expect future Middle East wars (or the current one in Syria perhaps?) to be fought over natural gas (pipelines and shipping lanes).   The special ingredient that helps explain Saudi Arabia’s diplomatic war on Qatar Natural gas lies at the heart of the Gulf’s most acute crisis in decades.
