JLCNY's Frackman Interviews Frack Quack

The Disjointed Landowners of Central New York, aka the Frack Babies, are hosting a convicted Medicaid Scammer as their fracking “medical expert.” No, this is not an April Fool’s joke, just another chapter in the life of the Frack Babies in the Boondocks of the Marcellus. Fracking Chickenhawk Vic “Frackman” Furman will interview The Frack Quack, Gilbert Ross, as their response to the DOH’s report on fracking. Should be amusing, if not particularly informative. Or truthful. “Hello Fellow Frackers Our very own Vic Furman will be hosting a hard hitting fracking radio show again. This Sunday on March 15 at 7 PM, tune in your radio to WNBF 1290 AM to listen to Dr. Gilbert Ross, medical director of the American Council on Science and Health to discuss high volume hydraulic fracturing and the illegal […]

Fractavist Mayor Decks Fracking Chickenhawk in Bar

Fractavist Mayor Decks Fracking Chickenhawk in Bar

My pal Matt Ryan was Binghamton’s mayor when they passed a fracking ban. He is a courageous guy. Vic Furman, aka Frackman, a spokesman for the Joint Landowners Coalition of New York, is notorious for indecent exposure in public, harassing fractavist speakers, and drinking what he says is frack flowback at fractavist demonstrations. They ran into each other in a bar, and The Matt knocked the fracking chickenhawk on his butt. Go figure. Furman, who outweighs Ryan by over 150 pounds, is seeking a restraining order, claiming to be “fearful” of Ryan. Matt Ryan clearly should get a medal for performing a valuable public service. Bravo Matt. Run for Congress. http://www.capitalnewyork.com/article/albany/2014/08/8551578/anti-fracking-ex-mayor-bar-fight-pro-fracking-blogger Fracktavist Mayor in Bar Fight with Fracking Chickenhawk Matt Ryan. Ole Sheepdip is Back !

Ole Sheepdip is Back !

Tom Sheepdip, the frackers’ covert, double dipping, bankrupt, defrocked land planner is back doing his bit as a gas bag for Energy In Deep. Thanks to all of you for petitioning the frackers to bring back that rumpled old sack of flowback. Was getting kind of boring without Tommy Frak Flak and his gashole buddy Frackman to crack us up. He can out-gas any of those K Street yuppy bloggers when it comes to shilling for shale - even in places where there ain’t no fracking shale gas . . . “Sheep dipped” The phrase “sheep dipped”, is commonly used in intelligence circles. It’s a way of saying someone has been given an alternate identity. The best known example being Air America, but also in many other covert ops applications. Not necessarily […]

Koch Sock Puppets Host Albany ClusterFrack

Koch Sock Puppets Host Albany ClusterFrack

The “Joint Landowners Coalition of New York,” (pronounced ‘jlcyny’) which once was a wannabe gas leasing consortium, then morphed into potential plaintiff in a threatened “takings” publicity stunt against the State of New York and then devolved into a bunch of fracking Sock Puppets for the Kooky Kochs are hosting a ClusterFrack in Albany. Courtesy of the Kooky Kochs. And no, you’re not invited. Only Shale Charlatans, Frak Flaks and the odd politician looking to pick up a fat envelope. Plus of course the fracking collaborators inside the DEC. http://www.newschannel34.com/news/local/story/Landowners-Allege-Fracking-Myths/oW8RfwoxQ0aJfnexs25Jrg.cspx The panelist include “Rocks for Jocks” Professor Don Siegel, Syracuse University’s very own Frackademic. Who never met a frack he didn’t like. An administrator from a hospital that is heavily subsidized by Cabot Energy as part of that firms “we frack ’em, you fix ’em, but […]

Moratorium Extension as Lease Extender ?

Moratorium Extension as Lease Extender ?

Mike Bernhard sent out some thought-provoking comments on how a blanket moratorium extension on all drilling (if one even got out of committee in the state senate) might cloud the picture of force majeure claims in New York - since the extension bill would expand the moratorium to include vertical low permeability formations - probably because the only way to economically produce such wells would be to frack them horizontally, so a vertical shale well would in all likelihood be a test well for a horizontal completion. So a vertical test for a horizontal completion would be a worthwhile subject for state scrutiny - because it is a precursor to a horizontal well. . . . The controlling case in such claims, Aukema, is based largely on the fact that […]

Compelled Into A Gas Well with a Bankrupt Norwegian Penny Stock Scam

Compelled Into A Gas Well with a Bankrupt Norwegian Penny Stock Scam

Courtesy of the state’s “environmental watchdog.” Only in New York. No other state has a worse record of compelling landowners into gas wells against their wills. None. You’d be better off in Kazakstan. 96% of Norse Energy’s 27 shale gas well permit applications outstanding are non-conforming or incomplete, meaning they will get the State of New York’s “Department of Environmental Conservation” to push some unlucky landowners into their well via compulsory integration - privatized eminent domain for frackers. Then that homeowner gets the “full Norse” treatment of being in a lease against their will. Courtesy of Norse’s fracking accomplices inside the DEC. Particularly since some of these leases abut state land - meaning the state will be integrated into the spacing unit and the well will be drilled next to the state […]

Libous $hills for $elf ?

Tom Libous’s speciality is carrying water for special interest groups in Albany - notably the frackers. But his favorite special interest group is himself and his family. Including getting his son a job at a fracking lobbying firm: http://www.nypost.com/p/news/opinion/editorials/sen_libous_on_A1WxoziPGxigFaI5pVibyO Senator Tom Libous is Albany’s top Shale Shill because he’s evidently looking to cash in on some gas leases via his wife’s real estate company. Absolute power may corrupt absolutely, but in Libous’s case, a little goes a long way. Enough to block any fracking legislation in the state senate - a legislative body controlled by the Democrats as of the last election. Who then promptly ceded control of the legislative agenda to a Republican - Libous. The fracker’s bag man in Albany. Which begs the rhetorical question - Why can’t a politician be […]

Economist Comments On Frackonomist’s Fantasy

Economist Comments On Frackonomist's Fantasy

Jannette Barth, Phd. an economist, has commented on the Manhattan Institute’s fracking fantasy about how New York state could be the New Texas or North Pennsylvania when it comes to fracking. Ms. Barth’s paper here. http://www.scribd.com/doc/140200148/Economist-Comments-on-Frackonomist-Paper All of these frackonomists make the same (intentional) mistake: That there are not trade-offs, that you can turn an area into a shale gas brownfield and hold the other economic variables constant - no downside, no negative impacts. Alas, it never works out that way. And some areas are clearly more vulnerable to the downsides than others. Couple of rather obvious problems with New York turning into Nuevo Texas any time soon: 1. There may not be much shale gas in New York. The Manhattan Institute overstates the amount of recoverable Marcellus reserves by a factor […]

Ecology and Environment For Sale

This is a remarkably well researched piece by Rob Galbraith about the New York gas lobbyist “Energy and the Environment Incorporated“ who actually get paid by their fracking collaborators inside the NYS DEC to hype shale. Such a gig ! Ecology & Environment: IOGA-tied DEC contractor By Rob Galbraith • Apr 29, 2013 at 16:37 EST Ecology & Environment (E & E), the New York Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) contractor whose membership in the lobbying group Independent Oil and Gas Association (IOGA) of New York set off alarm bells, “clarified” its relationship with the organization last week. In a letter released April 24, E & E asserted that it was never a member of IOGA, though it had previously paid an employee’s membership fees “in order to attend IOGANY’s Conferences and receive […]

$hale $hill’s SGEIS

April 27, 2013
$hale $hill's SGEIS

When caught out as being members of the fracking lobbying group IOGA, (Independent Oil and Gas Association), two consulting firms that wrote key sections of the dSGEIS for the DEC denied being corporate members, stating that their employees were members. Catch is that there are no individual memberships available at IOGA - except for sole proprietorships, as stated on their website: “G. Individual: Those sole proprietors (not incorporated) with a maximum of two (2) employees.” http://www.scribd.com/doc/138339066/IOGA-Memberships So the consultants - notably “Ecology and Environment Incorporated” and “Alpha Geosciences” were doing a bit of extemporaneous prevarication. In short, they lied. Their employees could not have been individual members of IOGA. Their employees may have represented them but the consulting firms were members - they just denied it when caught. Sometimes they get […]
