A NYC artist called Lmnopi (Lopi LaRoe) has been ordered by an agency of the US Government to Cease and Desist causing harm to them(*) by infringing their intellectual property rights, to wit, using the SMOKEY THE BEAR icon in this anti-fracking parody.
“Only YOU can Prevent Faucet Fires”.
This image has gone viral on the internet, and causes many people laugh,
see it as brilliant parody, and also see the important call-to-action.
Also, isn’t it the mission of the U.S. Forest Service
to PROTECT our national forests from harm?
(like the harm caused by fracking?)
