News this morning from the Canon-Mcmillan.Patch.com websites asks the question: Open Letter: Why Did an Energy In Depth Staffer Post a Blog for a Cecil Resident? The blog was supposed to be written by Cecil’s Janice Gibbs. But the user name was from an Energy In Depth staffer. What’s up with that? | The Editor’s Corner | By Amanda Gillooly | February 6, 2013
According to the article, a blog post was posted under the name of Janice Gibbs, a Cecil, PA resident, however the email name was that of Joe Massaro, from Energy In Depth Northeast Marcellus Initiative. (EID-NEMI)
The real fun is in the comments section below the article. Tom Shepstone, the “Campaign Manager” for EID-NEMI has jumped into the fray.
Ummmm, yeah, right.
On Saturday, July 28, 2012 a Stop the Frack rally and march was held in Washington D.C. EID staffers and other Natural Gas Industry people were also at the event. At least one EID staffer was wandering in the crowd and talking to people.
She has been identified as Dana Bohan. She told people she was concerned about energy issues, and conducted interviews for a “new blog”.
Apparently Bohan didn’t get the memo about “there are no secrets about who we are and what we are doing”.
Shepstone is avoiding questions and is focusing on the issue of name calling. If you do leave a comment at the original article, please try to restrain yourself. His feelings are easily hurt.
As of this post, Shepstone has taken his crayons and gone home. The number for the WHAAAAmbulance is WHINE-ONE-ONE.
Meanwhile, EID-NEMI mentioned having 2 new people on the ground in the Cecil area. Shepstone is being pressed to reveal the names of the “2 new people on the ground”, and so far he has failed to divulge them. More secrets?
If you live in or around the town of Cecil, please be on the lookout for 2 EID-NEMI staffers. They are presumed missing, and may be hiding in dark places and or wearing puppet costumes. Approach with caution.

Joseph Massaro’s Experience
May 2012 – Present (10 months) Scranton, Pennsylvania Area
Launched by the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) in 2009, Energy In Depth (EID) is a research, education and public outreach campaign focused on getting the facts out about the promise and potential of responsibly developing America’s onshore energy resource base – especially abundant sources of oil and natural gas from shale and other “tight” reservoirs across the country. It’s an effort that benefits directly from the support, guidance and technical insight of a broad segment of America’s oil and natural gas industry, led in Washington by IPAA, but directed on the ground by our many affiliates — and IPAA’s more than 6,000 members — in the states.
