There are the rallys and TV appearances, and there is where the rubber hits the road. There is Letterman, there is Lady Gaga, and there is where the rubber hits the road. There is glamour, there is song, and there is where the rubber hits the road. There are oil and gas apostates blogging away, and there is where the rubber hits the road. There will be no fracking statewide ban this year, or with a Republican Senate, next But there will be Home Rule. And there will be Team Slottje. Where the rubber hits the road .
Team Slottje are a husband & wife legal team that have had the audacity to tell New York town boards that gas wells are subject to land use controls. This, of course, would come as no big fracking surprise in places like Texas, California, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Missouri, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Iowa, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, or Nevada. To name a fracking few. Nor would it come as a big fracking surprise to the New York judiciary. So they are deserving of our support.
If your town has not already adopted a road use ordinance and land use ordinance to address shale gas industrialization, encourage your town board members to get with the program. Or get new town board members.
